Here is Cat Power and her song “Cross Bones Style”, Jamie refered to this in questions of a musical nature. I hadn’t seen seen it, so I “googled” it.

Clearly, this video has the power to polarize…

I vote !YES! for this video, for the following reasons:

    1. Cat Power with hair drooping over her eyes
    2. Cat Power in elbow-length short sleeves
    3. Cat Power on roller skates

    I rest my case.
(Oh yeah, and I like the song too!)

whats not to like? She dances like a twit and throwing punches at the screen reminds me of something Wolfmotor…………. sorry i meant mother or that band Tthe Muisc would do………..both really ~good~ bands.

yes, the dance with the roller skates is a bit twit-esq.
and the back-up dances are EMBARRESSING!

I thought this video was meant to be a bit of a joke … it certainly strikes me that way. Like flippant stupid dancing and choreography for a song that is the opposite of that in mood.

I think she is being “ironic”. If she isn’t, then I agree with you.

I only saw this video for the first time on rage a couple of weeks ago… it’s a pretty awesome video considering how petrified of performing she is.

this is where i fell in love with the mess that is chan marshall.
and i hope she was serious with the dancing as i have learned the moves and am waiting for an upcoming event to strike a pose

I can see Chan can do no wrong with the gentlemen folk.
    a hearty good for her!

the song ‘the greatest’ is in my ‘fav songs atm’ playlist.

Its meant to be a parody. I think the video is pretty genius actually. She acts like madonna in one of her videos. There are also parts that remind me of smells like teen spirit.
