The Royal Mint has revealed a new coinage design for the first time in a long time. It’s the result of a public competition which was won by is Matthew Dent a 26-year-old graphic designer, originally from Bangor who now lives and works in London.

Matthew’s design features different parts of a single image, the Royal Shield of the UK.

I like it, I think it’s pretty neat, watch though as public outrage and resistance to change surely ensue.
